For the official inauguration of the second natural gas pipeline, Triad Berlin organized the festivities surrounding the completion of the fully automatic pipeline system connecting Germany and Russia.

Inspired by the shape of the CH4 gas molecule, a camp consisting of five  dome tents was erected on a 6,000-square-meter floor area. In the largest tent, a new 360° documentary film on the construction of the pipeline provided a memorable three-dimensional experience. The highlight of the ceremony was a live broadcast from the control center showing how the valves that allow the gas to flow through the second string of the pipeline were opened.

The opening ceremony was attended by Angela Merkel, Dmitry Medvedev (former President of Russia), Alexei Miller (CEO of Gazprom), Sergei Ivanov (Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration of Russia), and former German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder as well as by 250 high-ranking representatives from the worlds of business, politics, and media.

Duties:

As the only Russian speaking member of the team, I assisted a Project Manager on high-level responsibilities (listed below):

• leading contract negotiations and forming agreements

• Video production 

• Concert program

• Crew logistics and accommodation

• Project execution and close-out
